My favorite leg of the TIR was a nighttime leg near Altair. I had already warmed up (Altair was my second leg), but was not yet tired or sleep-deprived. There was nothing alongside the country road but trees - not even farms or ranches. It was pleasantly cool and the evening breeze rustled in the branches. With almost no cars on the road, the only encounters I had were with other runners, who all seemed glad to see another runner in the dark.
I'd have to say it was TIR 2009, when we were all walking up the ramp to get our medals and the team gave each other a high-five in one big group. Made me happy to see a great team finish.
I have to say it was Duy's face after finishing up his 3rd and last leg of the race. Psycho doesn't even come close. I definitely wish I had a camera. Priceless!
duy who? LOL
TIR 2009 was one of the funnest and most memorable experience I had and it's all because it was a team effort. Feel so delighted to be part of the family :)
